Position Overview

This developer position in Autodesk M&E Enterprise Engineering provides an opportunity to collaborate with top production studios located worldwide to develop tools and solutions for Autodesk Maya, 3DS Max, and Motion Builder software.

This customer-facing team within Autodesk s Media & Entertainment department works closely with customers to drive the leading edge of our creative software tools. We collaborate with the leading studios in the feature film, games, and post production businesses. Enterprise Engineering works with customers to maximize the production and business value of Autodesk software and services in their pipelines. We architect solutions that improve workflows between customer proprietary pipelines and the Autodesk products to accelerate the adoption of new solutions, influence product features, and increase customer s utilization of Autodesk technologies.

This is an opportunity to be embedded with top production studios to advance new tools and solutions. You will advance both your industry knowledge and software development skills. Candidates will create solutions that combine customization of the core code of our software packages as well as scripts and plugins built on top of our application SDKs.

This is a position responsible for the discovery, design and development of solutions in partnership with customers, Autodesk Support, Autodesk Technical Specialists, and Autodesk Product Teams. It requires a self-motivated individual with the drive to have a significant impact across Autodesk and the Media & Entertainment industry.

Responsibilities

  • Work with key studios in Film and Games to understand their existing pipelines, and requirements for solutions to improve efficiency or functionality of those pipelines

  • Design, develop, test, and deliver custom software solutions to fulfill customers requirements

  • Work with our product development teams to integrate custom-built technology into our core applications

  • Prioritize customer requirements to help maximize solutions impact and value

  • Work closely with customers to understand the challenges that they face, and to take responsibility for personally delivering solutions that address those challenges

Minimum Qualifications

  • Solid knowledge of Autodesk Maya (Usage and APIs). Autodesk 3dsMax and Motion Builder a plus.

  • Fluency in C/C and Python

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills to build relationships with customers and Autodesk teams

  • Able to work across multiple source code bases simultaneousl

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field

  • 3 years experience in software development and 3D graphics using C/C and Python

  • 3 years CGI production experience as a TD or Developer preferred

  • Ability to ramp up quickly and contribute to existing, complex software

  • Ability to work effectively with remotely located team members
